Default The Race Engine Shop 370 CID Engine Video Inside

I went to personally deliver this engine to the customers Installation Shop Hammer Performance.

About half way back from El Paso, the customer Albert sent me this video. Still burning stuff off the exhaust; In 24 hours they went from engine stand to dyno. She belted our 1,080 WHP and 908 WTQ Vortech Superchargers YSi trim Centrifugal Supercharger. this one is not rowing gears either.
Judging by the dyno graph it looks like it may have more in it.
The block is a new LS3 block

Nice results. What happened to the 6.0 that was in the car?

And what prompted the decision to use AFR vs the TFS from the LS2?

Thanks.

Well it’s really a 377

The LS2 broke a Connecting rod.

as for the afr heads, his trick Flow heads were damaged and he didn’t want to wait on the repair so we put some AFR heads on there.

Cool. Thanks Mike.

Albert’s car is certainly one of my top 5 favorite corvettes. Even more so now that it’s white.

Mike pulled through even with a crazy deadline. Went from a blown motor on 5/4 to racing on 5/30. Truth of the matter is I filmed an episode of Street Outlaws Memphis and I didn't want to miss out on that opportunity. Racing All Out Call Out this weekend which is a pretty big event. Hope it goes well.

in all seriousness wirh todays Plateau honing techniques the whole breaking in the rings happens very quick.

Its been argued that new springs should be heat cycled but I haven’t seen enough conclusive data to say yay or nay.
