Default Fuel Rail Adapter?

Does anyone know where to a fuel rail adapter? The one that came with the electric Autometer gauge is useless, as is the special one I ordered that they said would fit the Corvette. Nothing seems to fit the threads on the end of the fuel rail. Any help would be appreciated. :yesnod:

I went to the auto store and purchased a Shrader valve remover for $10 and I removed the Shrader valve. If you dont remove the shrader valve and try to hook up the fuel gauge it will read 0 because the valve holds in all the pressure.

Then I went to a specialty shop that makes Hydraulic lines and hoses who just so happen to carry brass fittings. I took the photos from the Auto meter web site and told them that I needed a Female to female fitting that would go from the end of the fuel rail on one end (fits standard fuel pressure gauges) and an 1/8 inch fitting for my sensor on the other. They came out with two setups and I picked the smallest setup they had. I went home and installed the fitting and the sensor for the fuel gauge. Price for the fitting with a new roll of plumbers tape... $5. No problems at all.

Vetterdstr,

Where did you find the schrader valve remover tool? Also what size is the fuel rail fitting? 1/4"? I know my Autometer gauge is 1/8"...

The schrader valve removal tool can be found at any auto parts store. It should cost you less than $3 and is a very simple device.

I had the same problem finding the correct fitting. I eventually just went to an overpriced speed/performance shop where they had exactly what I was looking for. I don't know what the size is, but it is somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4.

I got the shrader valve remover from a local auto store. I dont know what size the rail is... but you will need the brass fittings to convert it to the 1/8"

Go to the Autometer web site to see the info on the fittings for that application. Thats what I did to get what I needed. :)
