Default Ls9 head gaskets?

So I'm pulling my heads to replace lifters,can I use the Ls9 on my stock 99 heads? Are they thicker that Oem? I need to order ASAP.

Not if you have 853's with the notch on the outside. In that case use the Victor Reinz ls1 MLS gaskets that seal the head notch.

Yes, but people (including me) use them on 5.3Ls and they still seal fine. As slow ride mentioned though, some 853 heads had the notch cast into them, and you need to use the matching head gaskets for those (not LS9 or anything else).
