I recently noticed that i had a light film of oil on the outside of my ATI Blower so i wiped it off.
Well i went for a nice cruise today and when i returned i opened my hood and noticed that the oil film was back. It's not that much , just a very light film.
I checked my oil level in my blower and its fine.. I can't figure out were it might be coming from  .. I know Vetterdster had mentioned that the drain plug can leak so maybe its coming from there .
Has anybody else had this problem ?? Maybe it's leaking from the dip stick screw ?? I know the pressure gets pretty high in the blower unit .
When I changed out the burned up Idler pulley on my car I noticed all the oil that was leaking from the Drain plug. I cleaned up the entire unit and installed plumbers tape on the drain plug threads. I reinstalled the S/C went to Dyno Day and then transported my car to the shop where it has been for the last 3 weeks.
When I get my car back I will be watching for that problem to return. :yesnod: As it was the entire underneath of the S/C, shroud and under carriage was coated with oil and dirt... I am looking forward to getting my car back, cleaning it up (with my pressure washer) and getting everything  again.
I will let you know if the problem returns. :smash:
Here is something that others have had a problem with.
The weak stock PCV valve allows boost (positive pressure) to make its way from the manifold into the PCV system. The pressure (along with some oil) ends up going out the PCV inlet tube, which results in a good amount of oil in the blower housing, intercoolers…..
The fix is simple. Put in a strong one way check valve between the intake manifold and the PCV valve. This will stop the oil and increase your boost.

Re: ATI Owners please read (JTE)
I just did my 500 mile oil change on the Procharger and I noticed a light film of oil around the dipstick and down the blower housing. I started the engine and watched the dipstick area closely and I could see small bubbles coming from the dipstick screw. I simply tightened it with a very large flathead screwdriver and the oil seeping is now gone.
Quick...
What you say I agree with...but I think what Jeff is talking about is at the dipstick location and if it is in the bottom it is in drain plug...I got the same thing Jeff..I wiped it off and checked the drain plug and filler locations and am just watching them.

What drain plug? I didn't know it had one, since I used the syringe pump and the frickin' tube that doesn't fit easily into the dip-stick hole to change out the oil. :mad :mad

Mike ,
i would reccomend that on your next oil change you use the drain plug..Instructions are in your Manual.
You would be disgusted to see the junk that comes out of your blower on the first oil change. ( thats why ATI requires the Oil be changed after the first 500 Miles )
There's all kinds of shavings and debris , if you use the Syringe to remove the old oil i'm sure that some of the shavings will be left behind to wear on your seals.
My oil residue is exactly were you described , so maybe it is coming from the Dipstick Screw..I'm going to put some Plumbers tape around the screw and tighten down .
Kevin , keep me posted ! I'm curious to see if the oil comes back on yours.
I think it's a good idea to check our oil level in our Blowers often :yesnod:
