Default 1k hp Drivetrain Upgrades?

Car is a 04 a4. Car will be a rods/pistons 6.0 with F1r. Transmission is fully built. Billet shafts, 6 pinion front planetary, Vigilante triple disc converter, tranny brace, etc.. Should I upgrade anything else between the converter and the engine before I put the motor back in?

Car currently has a 3.42 rearend. I have a 3.15 rearend with c6z shafts. Should I swap this in as well?

The weather has improved here in Kansas so I plan on getting back in the shop and getting the car ready for the summer. Thanks in advance.

I would check the bearings in the torque tube and replace couplers and put in a stronger drive shaft.

I would leave the 3.42s and use c5z axles. They are more stout than c6z axles. Most c6z guys actually swap to c5z axles.

I highly recommend contacting Jeremy @ RPM Transmissions. They are sponsers and have always guided me to the most cost effective solution. I've used them for many years and they've never let me down

2nd that Rodney did an auto swap for my on my c5 z06 and he can build 4L65E that will handle those power levels. The street manners are fantastic!

auto or stick RPM has you covered!
