Nitrous and tires
I own a 2000 six-speed FRC and have a nitrous question. My car is going to be an everyday driver, so I don't want to have drag radials on it in case I get caught in the rain. My friend totalled his brand new ss this way. I'm shopping for new tires right now. If I bought the goodyear supercar tires, and used 75 shot nitrous, would I get any decent traction. I know I won't hook up out of the hole, but how about from a roll?

I decided against this. You get very little tread and need to discard after about 3/32 of use. You also need to heat the tires before they are any good. Rain or colder weather is probably a bad idea.

Just set up the activation so that its manual and you can hit it once you shift into 2nd gear. My car, on the street at least, hooks up great on the nitrous from 2nd gear on up. :)

I have a 100 shot on my car, and I drive it daily. I would suggest Nitto 555 tires (non drag radials). They offer above average traction on dry and good traction in the wet. They also have a lot of tread on them. With the 75 jets in I was able to cut 1.9 60' times on them, so they hook at the track too. I would suggest them to anyone.. As with any BIG shot application street tires are useless to race on, unless you want to go from the roll.
