I installed my Magnacharger with help from a mechanic friend. The programming that came with the the kit (Superchips programmer) is, in my opinion, poor. My car runs ok, but it does not have the added power I expected, it pings badly under moderate acceleration in any gear except first. All the comments made on the forum about the dyno tune being a must for automatics is, in my case anyway very true.

I have an appointment with Morgan Motorsports in Reseda, CA to have them due a dyno tune. Just as soon as their tuner gets over being ill.

Best of luck

I have an auto trans and was worried about the programming also, I sent my PCM to Ed Wright for programming and have been very pleased, no pinging or trouble codes have popped up yet I also have plenty of power.

How do you know you have plenty of power, there may be lots more to be found w/ a dyno tune.

I used the tunining from magnuson as well. My origanal plan was to take car after I had finished install to Ed Wright in person. According to his helper it would be far superior to dynotune in person than to guess at something having never done a Magnuson. After I ordered the blower only kit, I found out that the car wouldn't drive from here to Tulsa without programming. I then ordered the programming directly from Magnuson. After the job was completed the car seems to do very well so I was in no hurry to spend $600 or so taking it the Ed place. I think this spring I will take it because I feel more could be gotten out of it and there is a slight surging on decelaration. For now it runs very good and no problems pinging.

I hope theres no more power, the car is pretty scary right now, at 50 mph the car will go sideways if you step on the gas. thank goodness for traction control
