you talking the LS1 or the 6.7 cummins? folks compound diesels all the time, and all the dodge needs is a clutch to be good for ~600h/1300t. if planning to really use the top end (45-60psi easy from this setup), more fuel & head studs can take you to around 750h/1800t on a stock engine or 850h/2000t with bigger turbos - and not have to get into the head or bottom end.

the LS1 on the other hand...
i really trust Bret's tune but still wouldn't put no more to what it's making right now (just under 700ish with slightly less torque) on my stock bottom... and would likely do a forged 370 if i was to build a motor & just keep the TVS. LMR actually confirmed/proved my theory about how to properly compound an LS engine with a roots blower when they built that blue ZR1 a few years back... because up until then, the few who tried were doing it wrong & it turned out to be a disaster that fell on its face - ridiculous IATs, no top end, tuning nightmare. i honestly think they were all leaning on a restrictive blower too hard.

if you port the snot out of the TVS, include a plenum spacer for better internal airflow & intercooler efficiency, and only spin it for ~1.45 pressure ratio; you can keep the intake charge cool while using a huge single or twin snails (out back for packaging in a C5) to bum-rush the blower with enough charge air to keep the power up in the higher RPMs. since the blower provides enough instant torque to get you going quick, you can easily accept a bit of turbo lag to max out the top end.

but then you're talking lots of dylithium crystals and a pinch of unobtanium required to keep something like that going properly... which is why most run away screaming

The converter harness is always the problem, replace it

thanks. That makes alot of sense as a bit of "wire wiggling" seems to have cured the problem.

When I was checking the blow off valve all that stuff was taken apart and disturbed so maybe have some bad contacts

Sometimes it’s easy to forget how old these cars are. Wiring gets brittle when old and exposed to heat. My buddy recently had to replace most of the various harnesses in his 03Z engine bay due to this.

even worse on old german cars the insulation gets hot and falls right off the wires

seems to be the most problematic around the halogen lights that have nice little enclosures that get hotter than h@ll and bake the wires

On the old C4 LT5, the mice like to nest under the plenum and chew on the wires

Did I mention I hate wires? I need to get the high end crimper setup and splice in a Haltech s2000 platinum and "overcome"
