Default d1x it

spring fever has hit and I sprung for a d1x head unit and need to feed the beast
the engine is a 416 with the good magnum crank, ultra rods, diamond pistons
running lsa block with ls3 ported heads, block has the billet caps and piston squirters to keep temps down

so I'm looking for the following advice

I need to get a base tune and final dyno tune. Car was previously tuned for a p1sc. I'm hoping that base tune would be close enough to drive the car gingerly to the dyno for a full tune
I'm interested in a pure e85 tune and perhaps a race gas tune Who is the best tuner in the VA NOVA area that has solid expertise with LS blower cars? Who would you recommend? Do they do remote tuning?
The 2004 ecm I've heard can be setup for flex fuel with repinning the wiring for the flex fuel sensor and loading up the correct OS. Anyone go this route? I like the idea of flex fuel for a "limp home" solution if I can't get e85, or just get HP tuners and another tune?
My fuel system is setup to flow up to 1200 on e85, I'm going to use FIC bosch 127 lb injectors and shoot for around 900 or so at the tire. Should I go with a bit more injector?
D1X tips. These blowers tend to be a bit lazy and then hit really hard up top. I have a 6 spd and dual disk clutch with the ecs brace, looking to use a A&A drive setup and 8 rib 10% OD balancer. I'm going to rev out to about 7200 or so to not over spin the blower. Any tips on D1X setup and tuning for the street? The car will make drag strip passes on drag radials but is primarily a street car with too much HP hopefully.

I'm also thinking of putting in a diff anti hop mount to help put the power down.

thanks for any advice on setup!!

Hello: I have a 416" with AFR 245 heads, 8.8 C/R, running 1/2 point of methanol at max rpm 6600 rpm. I am using an A&A 3 belt 8 rib drive system 8" balancer & 4" d1X pulley, which is 54.1K supercharger rpm. Injectors are ID1050 boost referenced. The inlet to the D1X is a 4" to 5" adaptor to a 1foot 5" tube to a lg K&N filter, this helped over the 4" setup. The boost level 16lbs and produces 917rwhp and 785rwtq. Dynojet STD

uber tuners?? anyone know shops near alex va that have done the 04 flex fuel stock ecm repin? This mod is attractive for running pump gas when e85 isn't available for croozing not bruising

willing to travel or remote tune for the right expertise to get this setup running proper

IMHO, remote tuning is great for getting a car running/driving so you can get to a dyno for an in person tuning day. There are just too many things that can go bump in the night when the tuner is not right there watching and hearing what’s actually going on.

I believe you and I have talked about the tuner I use. Ed Hutchings. He’s in VaBeach. He can do exactly what you’re asking.

Best of success with your new project!

yes, I finally got all the parts I need to put the car back together. My neighbor who is the mechanic that helps me just busted his ankle so I'm down for another month or so.

You might want to call Alec the owner of LMP in Baltimore. I have not personally done business with them but live very close and he has an excellent reputation. He does a lot of LT4 builds.
