Default c5z nitrous conversion

I need some help and this is the place to ask! I have a c5z that I just bought as a roller, no engine, trans , diff. or toque tube. I plan to build a lq9 for the engine and would like to know what rear cradle or transmission and diff I would need to see low 6's in the 1/8. I plan on using either a 1 or 2 stage kit if needed to get it there and I do not want to have to go the powerglide and fab 9' diff. route. thanks in advance for the help!

for that performance, you need a beefy 480LE conversion which isn't cheap some upgraded axles another 2k or so

nitrous really hits the parts hard. you might get away with a 4l65e beefed up and a good convertor

contact rodney at RPM and he can set you up. You're going to need some very expensive parts in a vette to do this

buying a complete drag car would be cheaper and easier to hit your et target (ask me how I know)

doing in a c5 is spendy

what engine combo are you using for the nitrous build ???

I have seen the prices and agree it is cheaper to buy it used, but finding a cheap c5z now a days is a hard enough thing by itself...lol i want to do the 4l60 or 65 upgrade with the upgraded diff as well and rpm is the way to go. i just do not know which would be better to get to run in the c5z, it comes with a 4l60 trans and torque tube but i can swap a c6 cradle in it for the better trans if needed i just have to get the parts for the swap. as far as the engine im leaning toward the lq9 stroker 406cid. so i can get the h beam rods and pistons for the nitrous. i am also looking into the holley kit and piggy back the stock ecm for the gauges and startup.and also use their tcm for the trans to help it with the added hp. im trying to build it as close to bullet proof as possible, I want to run it in the n/t and street car class's. so it has to be non tubed and use a 2 stage kit one on launch and 2nd progressive?
