Default Nitrous Basics

Hey guys/gals what does a guy need to know when deciding to install a nitrous system? I have a 2002 zo6 with a cam and headers putting down about 468 hp to the wheels. I read where you really shouldn’t push it above 125 hp. I only drive my car once or twice a week for 10 minutes a pop. I don’t get on it too much and when I do it’s conservative 5000 rpm usually. Is there a sweet spot where you can get a bit more juice based on how I use my car. What do the masters think? My limitations are based more on poor clutch performance than anything else. I do a hard run or two and my clutch starts to hang up. Thanks in advance Scott

Nitrous reliability is highly based on the user. The fact you're looking into nitrous instead of a clutch, I don't feel you're the candidate for a nitrous car.
outside of that, your limitation is Clutch and fuel. you don't have enough of either for 125 shot. based on the mod list mentioned, your combo shouldn't make 468whp, but typically in the 415-435whp range, based on that, if you insist on moving forward with this, I'll keep it to a 75shot until you address the supporting mods.

I agree 100000%.... You aren't going to be about that life. Leave it alone. Replace the clutch.

That makes sense I’ll this on to the expert that I’m talking to. My car was dynoed by Kaizen Speed Corvette Specialists.

read my reply above car dynoed at 468. Clutch fade is common in these cars. Hence the stupid ranger maintenance. I’ll trust the expert putting it into my car
we haven’t discussed other upgrades other than the clutch because it sucks already but he gets it and will advise but he’s busy as hell so I told him no hurry.
