Default Stupid Newb Question

'New to nitrous. I bough a Zex kit with an option to 250 shot. My C5 bottom is forged, built by Texas Speed. M6. Is it possible to kick in the N2o in 3rd gear, but not 1st or 2nd? N/A, she already tends to break loose in 1st and 2nd, even with MT DR's on the back. I don't need N2o in 1st and 2nd gear with these DR's. Previous owner said she dynoed at 501-rear, but everyone doubts it, so let's just say 475-rear.

Is there such a thing delaying the nitrous hit?

might look into the progressive controllers that will soften the hit and then ramp it up. You'll have to use a switch for activation to get the 3rd gear start That should be pretty ez.

I'm a FI guy and don't run the bottle. Hope this helps.

Look into VSS based controllers. They do boost per gear, window switch per gear, it watches MPH for the gear ratio and some include front wheel speed sensor for traction control bias, modern stand-alone ECU often incorporate this feature anyways and if you are getting serious about performance mods maybe its time to step up to Haltech or Holley or similar
