I'm finishing up the install of my NX nitrous system. I have the switches that replace the ashtray and need to know how it installs. Do I need to cut out the area the ashtray fit into? I hooked up all my wires but don't seem to be able to shove the thing in place. The directions don't give me any idea at all.
you will probably need to bend the blades on the switches
to the left or right, depending on how you brought your wires in.
Its a depth problem with the blade connectors...
:iagree: No cutting required. Once the switch assymbly was in place, it was lose so I wedge some card board in and it holds it place fine. I painted the edge of the card board black to blend in. Can't see it at all.
I used zip ties around the switches and then pushed the cluster into the ashtray spot. The zip tie locks acts as a wedge to hold the switches in place..

Hey that's a great idea. Thanx all for the advise. Guess what I'm doing tonight after work. :D
Finally got off my butt and installed the panel. Ended up having to use the black tape method. Works really good too. Thanx for all the advice!
YES, First switch, up arms the system and down flips the relay for the bottle heater. 2nd one is to purge the Nitrous. 3rd is up to open bottle and down to close bottle.
I am thinking of using the switch panel for switching other accessories on and off.
So let me get this straight:
The first switch is not an on/off switch, but is a three way switch with off in the middle? In other words, up could be wired to one accessory and down could be wired to another accessory?
The second switch is a momentary switch that activates an accessory while you have it pushed and are holding it (like for a purge)?
The third switch is a three way switch like the first?
The third switch is a spring loaded off center position switch. Normally used to open & close the bottle. I also, wired my heater to this switch so if the bottle is open, the heater is enabled and when I close the bottle, the heater is disenabled. One less switch to have to remember.
