Prep for supercharging
looking to supercharge it. I do want some room to grow. Am considering gears due to the cam. I’ve been back and forth between A&A and ECS for a hot minute.
oil cooler with a 180 thermostat is my mod.
I plan on running 93 only.
Id like some advice on fuel system prep (pumps and setups) as well as a decent gauge (maybe that works with HPT) as well as other items to prep that don’t typically come in a supercharger kit…
I would prefer to leave myself some room to grow in the future, and for safety as well.
I already have a brand new set of Siemens 60# injectors on the shelf also…

I went for the 80lb injectors, so I am also upgrading the fuel pump, along with the Hot Wire Kit and Boost a Pump both from A&A with the SC kit. (hoping to make mid 600s).
I upgraded the power steering pulley to a C6 Billet pulley from Hawk (C5 pulley is plastic). You'll want to evaluate all your front engine pieces that are hard to get to, like harmonic balancer, pumps, etc.
If you don't have a clutch, you're likely going to need one at some point unless you drive the car very conservatively. I have a Monster Twin Disk, lightened flywheel and a Tick adjustable clutch master cylinder with the speed bleeder.

Steel PS pulley
Spare belt(s) / laser alignment tool / patience
Upgrade your single pump - it is too cheap and too easy not to vs over-volting the aged oem pump when a walbro 340 is $82 and a 450 is $120. It gets more expensive when you go dual pumps or return style based on lines, fittings, afpr and mods needed. A basic single pump replacement is pretty straight forward.
Weld the head of the water pump pulley at the shaft tip. Just 3 zaps will do it.
Replace your balancer if you have not already before pinning it
By age alone, now is a good time to toss a set of PAC 1218s in there. Some do the straub or che bushings too.
For power application:
Aftermarket trans mount is a must. Folks throw stones at different brands, but I trusted my original pFadt model which has been copied a lot. Prevents drivetrain hop.
A good clutch and flywheel - common sense. My lightweight Fidanza paired with an RST lasted 8+ years and never failed until the car was struck by a Tahoe last week. It was behind 10# of boost for almost 4 years in that time.
Trans/diff brace - added insurance, but no guarantee, against busting the trans or diff cases
