The ATI kit puts out 540RWHP for around 6Gs. Seems like a good deal, altough I think I might rather have Turbo if the price and power outputs were the same doubt it though. :)
When adding this kind of power though what on the C5 breaks? Can the stock parts hold up 540HP?
Well you don't have an A4, so your good there. People using slicks with lots of power have broke rear ends, so the IRS could be one week point. I would talk to a shop like xtreme and see what they believe is the breaking point for a stock block LS1.
Well the wallet goes without saying. I'm just trying to get some ideas so I can make a desicion. The SC alone costs a lot and if I need to replace some stuff now I would add that to my cost. Thanks
This will probably equate to about 450rwhp, if you go to the strip and launch hard you will break half shafts in the rearend, think about a 390 410 hd rearend, clutch will slip, get aftermarket clutch. if you are not going to launch hard and just street drive you will probably still want a clutch. This assuming you are keeping it to the 7lb boost the kit is rated for, use a D pump and go higher and you will probably break everything but your power will obviously be much higher and the lower end will go eventually.
"think about a 390 410 hd rearend"
"use a D pump and go higher "
What are you refering to?...
Humm, so a new tranny or a built up one would be of need. lol I would take it out to the track too and launch as hard as I could. Wouldnt do this a lot but when I go to the track I aint trying to play around

well,...to date,...with heads cam/bla bla bla/and nitrous and 315 drag radials.......clutch(mcleod),imput shaft(stock and aftermarket)rear end, transmission(2),stock shifter forks(now upgraded), half shaft(s). and last.....my wallet. The car was being raced every wendsday night, for a couple of months, until they banned it(no cage). Moral of the story, you drive the car hard, be ready to deal with the broken parts, and the labor involved in maintaining it. not to mention, a trailer. :D
I've blown up a SC and had a clutch explode on me. I also broke the 3 bolts that go through the coupler of the output shaft on the drive shaft, not to mention 3 set of G-force tires!!
If you don't drive it to the track, is it still a street car? Within 100 miles I got AAA Plus for a backup. Who knows what the future holds for me. ;)

I'm pretty sure the adds are for flywheel hp, the D pump is the tuner kit and this pump can spool as high as 32lbs, if you decide to run more than 6 or 7 lbs you will probably need this kit and it sells for about the same or a little less as it does not come with a programmer and you would have to have a tuner set your timing and af ratio on a dyno. There was a guy on the forum that has a stock zo6 and says he dyno'd at 540rwhp with only 5.5lbs boost which is an apprx 180rwhp increase or apprx 33rwhp per lb of boost, which I find amazing-Ed Wright tunes mine and hes as good as it gets and I don't get near that per lb. I will see when I bolt on the new heads etc.
