Back when the C5s were new, I had a 2001 Firehawk with the LS1 and lots of folks were putting a 50-100 shot on their cars that just dumped into the intake behind the filter, but in front of the MAF so the computer would just add the needed fuel. They kept saying things like spraying fuel into the intake caused puddling and may lead to issues...dunno if that is really an issue or not, but the dry systems just seem more appealing for a quick hit occasionally.
Seems like those simple systems have gone by the wayside. Does anyone make anything like that anymore?
Spraying dry on the stock computer can be a bit of a pain since you will have to control the fueling through the computer. Simpler to just go wet on a stock computer.

Even on a small shot? I thought the stock computer and injectors could handle upwards of a 125 shot without major issues. I guess spraying fuel into the intake isn't the issue I thought it was.
I suggest just using a plate kit and make it easy.
Honestly, I was kinda wanting to keep it as hidden as possible. Just for giggles. Plates make it harder to do that. I guess I need to do more research.
Is the stock LS1 fuel system good enough to handle a dry 100 shot?
efilive has a custom OS for a small number of P01 OSs, that has dry shot nitrous fueling/timing modifier logic. Probably not worth the hassle/cost though.
I love dry, for the same logic, I prefer fueling to come from injectors, in the intake port.
when I sprayed 200 dry jet back in the day, I used the harris interface, which I pretty sure dont exist anymore. but the concept is the same, it recognizes nitrous, and adjust timing and fueling accordingly. granted a tuner can do that, this was just the plug play version of the time. I did that because it was a hidden kit and I was using a plate and not spraying through the maf/IAT.
