I read somewhere on the CF that the Magnuson SC is soon to be equiped with an intercooler...is this fact or fiction? Sounds like a good upgrade to wait on. If anyone knowsplease let me know as it is getting down to cruch time.
ATME1 indicated in the following thread that there might be one in the works --> http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zero...388106#5388106. However, at 21CMC, I saw the Magna package offered for trucks, which IS intercooled, and it is MUCH taller than the C5 unit. So, unless Magna comes up with an alternative format, I don't see how they could fit such an approach under any reasonable aftermarket C5 hood.
Of course, you could always just give Magnuson a call.
As a follow-up, here's a picture of the Magnuson system for the H2.
On the one I saw, there was a liquid intercooler mounted in front of the radiator, and it appeared that the liquid ran from the cooler to the manifold that is just below the supercharger. That manifold looked considerably taller than the one on the C5 system.
It does in real life, also. But, keep in mind it sits under the hood of a truck, so there's no issue. Too bad we don't have the same option for the C5.
On a related note, I was reading the Magnuson website and it says they DO have a C5 package that IS intercooled. I'm assuming it's a typo, so I sent them an e-mail. Hopefully they'll respond pronto, especially since my car is in the middle of the install.
