The S/C, or any other modification, only affects the warranty if the modifcation causes damage; such damage is not covered by the warranty. So, if you add a S/C, and you have a problem with your radio, then the 3 yr/36k warranty will cover that because the S/C cannot reasonably be said to have caused the radio damage. However, if you add the S/C, and you have a problem in your drivetrain, then certainly you might expect your dealer, unless you have a very good relationship with them, to state that the S/C was a cause, thereby excluding the problem from warranty coverage.
Beyond the above, you can find dealers that are utterly clueless and will say they're not touching your car at all if you have a S/C, but that's not how they're supposed to proceed.
I've had mine at the dealer several times for warranty work. The service manager told me that he couldn't care less if I have supercharger on the car. But, I fully expect them to deny most warranty work on the powertrain.
Yeah, I'm sure it voids the warranty on the engine and powertrain. It shouldn't void the warranty on anything else, though you will find some dealers that will tell you otherwise. I don't take my car to the dealer for anything minor. If I had a major problem with other systems in the car, I would pull the blower before I took it in just to avoid the potential hassle. I have pretty much accepted financial responsibility for the engine and transmission if anything happens and wouldn't try to stick the dealer if I knew it was related to my mods.
If you run into problems with your mods they may charge you for the extra labor or not cover the problem> I would try to pull one of the mechanics over and spill the beans and offer som $ for "help" getting the warranty to cover it. It worked for me.
I think you should consider removing your blower before heading in for any serious work.
MellowYellow-The dealer might just notice a flashed computor and or engine codes in memory. Of course, a boost gauge on the pillar doesn't help either. Maybe a few more telltale signns as well that we haven't thought of as yet. Just food for thought for all of us. Good Luck :smash: :smash:

You may not think its very much work to remove the supercharger but it's a real PITA to swap back to stock for warranty work, especially if you have a magnuson not to mention the PCM problem and don't think if you blow the motor this will work because when the dealer tears down your motor the first thing the mechanic will notice are the 2 pins on the crankshaft snout.
