Tranny limit.

How much horsepower/torque is the stock 6 speed tranny able to hold before it needs upgrading? What are some of the upgrade options?

It isn't a matter of if but when your tranny will go ! upgrades in HP such as nitrous and other poweradders plus powershifting take a toll on a 6 SPEED trans like from blown synchro's to other misc. problems , I just had a STAGE 4-6 speed trans done from a guy named RODNEY from INDIANA (765)520-8368, the trans is upgraded for heavy duty use such as racing with high HP levels , the trans is undescribeable compared to a stock 6 speed I LOVE IT ! their are not many 6 speed trans builders that know what their doing and what parts they use to hold up to high HP levels but I know mine does ! :steering:

There is a ZO6 with a 427 and ATI superchager running around here in Denver. Puts down 720ish rwhp, tranny is doing fine :)
