Default TTi General Questions

1. Synthetics oils are good, but twin turbos have to really stress the oil. How long would you run before an oil change? (assuming no drag strip or autocross time)

2. Saw a mod for supercharged cars to vent to crank with an air compressor type releif valve. Necessary with the TTi?

TTi install by XtremeMS 7 July. :D

More questions:
1. Is a turbo timer needed

You should use a turbo timer if the turbos are a dry cartridge(water passage for cooling) or just let the car idle for a minute or 2 before you shut it off.

2. What kind of spark plugs needed

TR6 Gapped @ .034-.038

4. Can the metal tubing be powder coated && Can the metal tubing be chrome?

Sure, the pipes are easy to have finished, look in your local phone book for metal refinishers.

Can TTi just place the air filter infront of the intercooler, then no more tube showing on top of the engine ,just like LPE TT did and it looks like a better place to put it (Just infront of the front brake vent holes.)

lplott,
I'd change the oil every 2500-3500 miles depending on how hard the car is driven... and NOT use the DIC to tell you when the oil should be changed. Standard PCV system is OK.

ISLANDBOY2,
1. Turbo timer recommended with ANY turbo kit... especially one with bushings for bearings.
2. TR6
3. Yes, it is an option... but if you want it consider a COMPLETE 3" system in order for it to be effective.
4. Yes, tubing can be powdercoated... but I only recommend the compressor intake ducting be powdercoated. This is what you see anyway when you open the hood. All other ducting should remain ceramic coated.
5. Yes.... only recommend compressor intake ducting be chromed.

angel, routing the intake ducting down is not as easy as some may think... and this kits case would require a complete redesign because of turbo placement.
