Well Its 2 Weeks With the New Twins Heres Whats Up.
Vetzilla Bio: 2000 C5 Millenium Yellow Convertible, A4 ( soon to be level IV ), stock torque converter ( will be upgraded with trans ) , 3:42 Gears, no cats, Banassi X-Pipe, B&B PRT exhaust, TR6 plugs, taylor wires, 160deg t-stat, Turbo Technologies Twin Turbo Kit 7lbs Boost, LS6 Intake and PCV Breather System, OZ Superleggra III 3 piece forged racing wheels, Michelin Pilots, and a whole bunch of exterior and interior upgrades not worth mentioning at this time.
The kit is performing flawlessly, we have worked out the finer details, shift points, final tuning, torque control, etc. Have not been able to get on the dyno again since LS6 intake install but there is a noticable difference from the LS1 intake. There is definitely more HP up high and torque down low, also I am still making power up to 5700 - 5800 rpm when before it would drop off. Another benifit of the LS6 intake is that it seems that the boost comes up progressively not abruptly making launching the car a little bit easier. Traction however is still a huge problem. I see a mini tub in the future.
So far all is going well and for me the Twin Turbo was definitely the right choice. Now I have the best of both worlds, a reliable daily driver and a outright monster when called for, and we still have room to turn up the boost.
Here are the results of a few chance meetings Zilla has had:
03 Cobra with all of the Steeda Goodies. 2-3 cars.
03 Cobra Stock. wasn't even a race.
03 Cobra with pulley, chip and headers. 2-3 cars.
02 Viper. 1/2 a car maybe less, damn those things are fast, I think if the guy was a better driver I would of been toast, says he missed 3rd gear shift.
Two Lightnings both built with all of the boltons. 2-3 cars.
Porche 911 Turbo, Guy just gave up after 50mph.
BMW M3 Series. Waste of time.
00 Camero SS, Light Mods. 2-3 cars.
01 T/A WS6, Intake Cam Heads Headers. 1-2 cars.
Despite the totally stock sound and appearance I have a hunch Zilla will soon be expanding her hunting teritory, the wildlife around here is getting wise and a little scarce.
All I can say is this is going to be coolest summers I have had in along time. thanks again to TTI and DSW, great job.

Good to hear you're happy with your TT kit Mike! We finished King Pins install today and ended up with 502/509 at the rear wheels, 6 speed LS1 car with 6.0 heads and blower cam. Mr Pin (hehe) wanted 500/500 and we aim to please! :D
Numbers will always be lower on an auto, but the potential for more power is aways there with turbos! :smash:

Evening Guys,
Just a bit more information. Mikes (vetzila) car is and auto with 3.42 gears and some healthy wheels and tires. All work was done on an MD 1750 dyno. This particular dyno setup yields Z06's at about 300hp. Stock stick LS-1's (345hp) cars come in around 260rwhp.
Mikes car puts an easy 100rwhp and 150rwtq on a Z06 at only 6-6.5 PSI boost.

Re: Well Its 2 Days With the New Twins Heres Whats Up. (VETZILLA)
Keep reading guys 'cause these numbers are just gonna go up. I had a turbotech single kit for my ls1 F-body. I purchased it used from a guy who had max numbers of 420/450 rwhp/tq. I ended up with 573/676 rwhp/tq. My maf hose split on the dyno before I could turn the boost up another psi which would have surely put me right at 600/700. This was on 346 c.i. with forged pistons which I think are necessary when your tuning is on the edge. Anyway, my original thought is this: after seeing the c-5 twin kit, it's obvious that this kit is going to breathe (exhaust wise) so much better than the single they produce. As people have more time with these kits, you are going to see the numbers keep climbing. In the future, you are going to see a lot of 550+ rwhp vettes cruising the street. When i settle with my insurance company, I can guarantee that you will see at least one more 600+ rwhp c-5 :steering:

It is important to recognize that things can be done to alter the correction factor on dyno's. Thats why I was happy that Xtreme puts the temp sensor right at the car...according to Mike @ Xtreme. The 2 fastest ATI Procharger cars in the 1/4 registered in the 500+rwhp range..so they had lower dyno numbers than some of these other cars but yet turned faster 1/4 mile times...so its kind of easy to figure out...
Congrats on your TTi...I will be joining you guys in about a week.

573 rwhp was at 13psi. The turbotech single kit is a bit lacking in flow as far as the manifold is concerned. Also, that was on home ported heads. I'm telling you now, their twin turbo is gonna rock once some time is spent with it. Only bad thing is traction....you try hooking up 650+ rwtq......it is tuff! A4 car is a little easier to manage off the line. Get a "Harlan 2-step" and you can leave the line with 5psi of boost on a 6 speed.......you better have some et drags or a sticky track with et streets!! If you have to do your own tuning, do it on a mustang dyno with a wideband......you can drive away from the dyno ready for the track.
