I need information about how to do the
CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) System Variation learn, after installing a new PCM and Magnuson. There is no dealers within 250 miles with a Tech 2.
A link or something.
There must be a way to to it yourself.
Will the car run without the variation learn so i can move it? Will it do any damage?
I really need help! :cry
I just looked up the procedure in the service manual and it looks like a scan tool is definitely needed, someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the scan tool monitors the cam position sensor as well as coolant temperature in order to set the crank position sensor. If you can't get a scan tool for this maybe you can leave your stock PCM in until you can get it to someone with a scan tool (the car will run lean due to the setting for smaller fuel injectors) or maybe you can have it towed or shipped to a place with the scan tool.
Drove mine without problems, it is due to the new pcm, had to get someone with tech2 to due relearn, from what I understand it only takes about five minutes.
