Default Spark Plug Selection

I have an ATI using 8lbs boost. I used platinum NGK plugs with twin electrodes. The car ran fine but I notice everyone uses those "other" single electrode plugs. Speculation saysthatthe platinum plugs run hotter and lead to detonation but if the right heat range is selected I can't see why it matters. Besides, wouldnt the single electrode plug tend to "blow out" under boost? Please don't say its recommended. I want to know what every one actually usesand or has tried. It seems to me a multi electrode plug may have advantages in a car running boost. Thanks for your comments. :chevy

I switched from stock plugs to NGK TR6's gapped at .35 and the dyno pull smoothed out considerably!
