Does any one out there know anything about the Tirbo Tech system for the C5? I understand from reading previous posts that the system can reach full boost at 3,000 RPM's...what ever that is. Soiunds like a system that is almost too good to be true :D
We've installed a few... what exactly do you want to know about the kit? Get ahold of Vetzilla. He's a bit closer to you and can provide an unbiased opinion... as well as point you in the direction of the installer that did his. :)
The pictures on their web site look impresive! I wonder why their horsepower is under 500 though. An ATI seems to make more power than their twin turbo, is that normal for a supercharger to be more powerful than a twin turbo system? I need to get some sort of forced induction on my car soon it is too slow!!
I have learned recently that the only true test of what these cars are capable of is to take it to the strip, the track timer doesn't care about what the dyno says. I saw with my own eyes on numerous occasions cars that have supposedly dynoed well over 500 rwhp get beat by cars with dyno numbers much lower, go figure. IMHO dyno graphs are just numbers, in order to accurately evaluate what a system can do it must experienced first hand i.e. a test drive / ride especially with the kind of cash that is shelled out for these mod's.
Oh yeah and if anyone out there does decide to go with the TTi Twin Turbo ( my preffered choice ) I Know just the guys to talk to Detroit Speedworks I just can't express how happy I am with the work these guys did.
An ATI car has never made more than 410rwhp on our MD dyno as delievered. As for the cost, if you figure in the equation that you do not need headers or a cold air kit of some form it becomes very cost effective.
437 HORSEPOWER AT THE REAR WHEELS
& 498 FT POUNDS OF TORQUE AT THE WHEELS
The torque is where it’s at. You have between 400 and 500 Ft pound from 3000 to 5200 RPM. I had a Turbo Technology single turbo on my Trans Am. This company makes some nice stuff. I now have the Vortech, it’s a bit cleaner and less busy, but I’ll bet the turbos will out torque the Vortech. Right now I’m putting 455 pounds and 505 RWHP. This is not pushing it yet due to break in on new engine. My HP numbers will go up but torque is probably almost done.

If your vert is an A4 let me know when you plan on coming by to check the system out. DSW is 10 min from my office I can meet up with you there and give you a test drive. Your gonna like it!
