456.1rwhp - 465.3 lbs-ft compared to a stock Z06's being 360rwhp - 350 ft lbs. its a tad heavier but 100 HP is 100 HP

Yep, do a search, it has happened more than once. The Z06's did have air intakes.......woopdedoo!

Ok with equal drivers and conditions the modified cobra is going to take it. stock for stock it gets a little closer.
Someone posting a story on the internet doesnt mean anything. For all we know a car pulled out in front of the cobra so it slowed down, doesnt mean the Z06 won! Next thread down could be like "Smoked a Viper with my stock Civic!" :lol:

ACTUALLY...I have that in my sig because I'm babysitting a 1981 Z28 for my best friend, while he's putting his time in to become a doctor. Idling in traffic is almost as impossible as keeping it tuned for the different temps. MAN! ...I don't know how we ever lived with carbs! :crazy: It's so touchy in temps above 80 degrees...I can't keep it cool for the life of me! Plus I can't WAIT to get the Holley fuel injection system on it! That'll make a WORLD of difference.

It's a 454, bored .010 over (461 now?). I just got done transplanting in a modified TH700R4.
BTW, the fact that we are now comparing Z06's to Mustang's....makes me smile. ;) ...I don't mind loosing to a 'vette (ya hear that hogurt?). ;)

By the way, I see that 03Steve lost to Black03 last week :confused: ? Apparently both of those guys were running in the low 12's. I hope I can figure out how to drive. . . soon!
RACER44, as for a stock Z. . .there were three of them at the track when we ran last time. . .all three of the modified Mustangs were runnin' better times. 4S Fed, would have waxed them ALL! :yesnod:
Also, I ran two of the modified '03 Cobras from a 40-50 roll. . .from a roll either of the modified '03 Cobras I ran, would hand a stock Z his AZZ. The Z simply doesn't have the 2nd gear pull to match those FI MONSTAZ.
At a track, from a dead stop, the Z could fair pretty well with a very solid driver! :cheers:
