Default Hyper tech and nitrous a bad combination??

I've been told that when running n2o not to use any power programing that changes you timing. I don't think the hyper tech 2 is very aggressive in that area, is it?
I thought I was shooting a 100hp shot. I turns out the jet size(.020) is only about a 65hp shot. I'm going to rejet should I remove the power tuning??
Is anyone running an 85hp or 100hp dry shot with power programing??

remove the power programmer. The reason is this: The way the power programmer works is that it advances your timing to get power. With Nitrous or any power adder you want to retard timing 1 degree for every 50 flywheel horsepower. So for example. You are spraying a 50 shot, but you also have exhaust, longtubes, and intake.... you should probably retard 2 degrees of timing. Now with that said, only spraying a 50 shot will most likely not cause you to detonate even with the HPP, but it will require you to run higher octane gas or risk pinging.

As as side note.... Please tell me that you changed your plugs to coppers.....

hey thanks for the explanation..........Iget it!
I removed the power programing earlier this evening...........I'm ordering some new jets tomorrow(.030 85hp & .032 100hp)

As I add hp and the timing needs to be retarded..........is that where something ths LS1 edit comes in??

oh by the way I am running NGK copper plugs
Thanx for your insight

For ideal performance on pump gas yes... Timing has to be retarded. LS1 edit allows for timing across all RPMs to be modified. Also LS1 edit will also help if you add Heads and cam later. I am buying mine this weekend.
