Dynotune for 99 with ATI?
I'm having headers, x-pipe, and cat-back put on my 99 convertible with a twin-intercooled ATI and afterward would like to have it dynotuned. Does anyone out there know of a good place in Ohio (central OH preferably), or at least within reasonable distance from Ohio :)

Re: Dynotune for 99 with ATI? (hogurt)
Thanks, hogurt. My installer actually sent the computer to someone like that to get it tuned. The car runs perfectly, as far as I can tell. I would just like to get it on a dyno and make sure it's making all the power possible :D
I am not making "all the power possible". I would say I am missing 20 (or so) RWHP. However, when we sent the CPU off to be programmed, I asked Ed Wright to tune it conservatively so that I could be safe. As it turns out, they put the A/F numbers exactly where I asked them. 11.7-12.0 for the entire run! I am sure that we could advance the timing slightly and pick up some power. . .however, if you aren't on a dyno to get the car tuned, it's better to be safe IMHO!
I did go to the dyno as soon as I got the car back so that I could verify the A/F ratio was good!

Re: Dynotune for 99 with ATI? (hogurt)
Hey Hogurt,
Thanks for all the input  I talked to my installer, and he told me that he did send the computer to Ed Wright and that it probably was tuned conservative. However, he was able to tell me of a place here in central Ohio that does the dynotuning and he trusts. I'm probably going to take it over there after the exhaust is installed at the end of July.
Your post got me thinking, though, and I may just leave it conservative. After all I don't race the car and Lord knows I'm not an expert driver
:yesnod: One more thing to consider. Ed Wright locks the CPU. So, you have two choices:
1. Flash back to stock and re-tune ($500-600)
2. Send cpu back to Ed Wright for tuning modifications ($100-200)
If you make further modifications to the car, then you can send the computer back to Ed and he will reprogram for the additional mods. After you get the cpu back, go to your dyno shop and make a run with the A/F ratio (wideband).
Based on the run, you will see your HP/TQ numbers and you will see if you are running a safe A/F ratio.
