my next mod is going to be nitrous, but i would like to know where some of you guys have mounted your activation swicth, the guy who is going to install it suggested under the gas pedal, which i like from the "stealth" standpoint, but that means i would have to use it all the way down the track, i was thinking of not hitting until i was in second gear(i have an A4, if that makes a difference). I was also wondering if there were any problems with leaving the active handling on just in case i ever use it on the street?
you will want a series of switches.
1. Arming switch
2. WOT switch.
Other safety switches that can go in series is
MSD window (yes even autos can bounce off redline)
FPSS (I wouldnt do it but since I am talking about switches)
You dont want to run with active handling on when spraying.
MTI HAS A KIT FROM NOS(DRY SYSTEM), IT COMES WITH SELENOIDS, 15# BOTTLE, LINES, BRACKETS, VENT TUBE, FULL THROTTLE SWITCH, FUEL PRESSURE SAFTEY SWITCH, AND JETS. IF I GET ALL THIS PLUS THE MSD RPM SWITCH, REMOTE BOTTLE OPENER, AND A NX SWITCH PANEL SO THAT I CAN DO EVERYTHING FROM MY DRIVERS SEAT. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT I WILL NEED OR JUST WANT, TO DO IT RIGHT?
AND ARE YOU SAYING YOU WOULD NOT USE THE FUEL PRESSURE SAFTY SWITCH?
If you plan on putting the bottle in your back middle compartment, the 15 pound bottle won't fit. NOS will let you send the 15 back and swap it for a 10 pounder, that's what I had to do. I also use the FPSS switch, don't want to take any chances. The nitrous still kinda scares me, so I use all the safety stuff to make sure she don't blow!

Put one in if you want, but they are crap. Hard to dial in, and not worth the effort. The C5 will always have 58-60lbs of fuel pressure. Its internally regulated. The only way the fuel pressure will drop is if you pump goes bad.
Also I wouldnt invest in a TPS either.
All you need is a WOT switch and a Arming switch.. Keep it simple. Have it tuned on a dyno with a wide band O2 and you should be golden. Also retard some timing.
WILL THE 10# BOTTLE FIT IN THE REAR COMPARTMENT WITH THE CD CHANGER OR WILL I NEED TO MOVE IT. THAT IS WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO PLACE IT. I WANT EVERYTHING TO BE HIDDEN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
I AM PLANNING ON RUNNING A 100 SHOT, FROM WHAT I'VE HEARD YOU SHOULD RETARD YOUR TIMING BY ONE DEGREE FOR EVERY HUNDRED HORSE POWER YOU INCREASE OVER STOCK, IS THIS CORRECT. OR WILL THEY TAKE CARE OF THAT IF I GET IT DYNO TUNED. AND WILL THAT EFFECT ITS PERFORMANCE WHEN I'M NOT USING THE NITROUS, OR WILL IT ONLY RETARD TIMING WHEN I ARM THE SYSTEM?
Hahaha, there is no way you can fit a 10 pound bottle and the cd changer in that compartment! I moved my cd changer to the passenger side back compartment.

Actually its 1 degree per 50 fly wheel horse power. Yes is will effect your NA driving; but its better than the alternative which is detonation. You will need to have someone retard the timing for you with LS1 edit.
