Supercharger and Nitrous Combination: Comments Needed
I've got an ATI/7psi installed producing about 6 psi in hot weather at 4500' . Do about 13 sec/118 (12.5/124 in winter) quarter times. I have an NX shark nozzle system including a remoter bottle opener, WOT, RPM window switch, heater, ashtray and control panel. Please post comments on feasibility of use, suggestions on bottle location, where to mount the nozzle (before TB or intercooler), suggested shot size, where to route hoses, problems with PCM, or any words of wisdom. My motor is stock. Have Beru plugs @.040, SPEC III, Stingers, BFG DR 315, and a need to win at the dragstrip. Your comments are appreciated and outcome results will be posted. Thanks all :steering:

good lord bro. I love the idea but I think and I think others will agree you need a forged bottom end if you expext that bad boy to last more than a few passes. Probably need to step up the fuel system alot also and haredend output shaft if not in ther car already.I don't have any technical advice as I don't have any experience with nitrous first hand but have seen alot of different combos on here. I am sure I culkun will chime in and give dome good advice.
good luck and if you get it together I am sure you will be a winner at the drags.
PS- my forged LS6 and ATI is going togther now! It may be running by the end of next week! :seeya

You are going to be on the edge, but it would be fun to try it. Just be prepared for a piston to go.
I would go wet with anything above a 35 shot. Your MAF sensor is already going to be maxed out with the boost, so you need the fuel to be added manually.
I guess you could also cut the window way down and only use it to get some good grunt down low.

With 6lbs of boost and a NOS shot you will probably be at a compression ratio of 16.1. I would not mess with it unless of course you are shooting for a new bottom end. Chris at ECS might have more useful information he has had an ATI equipped car in the 10's with a shot of NOS.

:iagree: You are DEFINATELY at the edge with anything over a 50 shot. Keep in mind that just a 50 shot usually tranlates into 50rwhp not fwhp on a NA engine. On a SC car since it cools the boost as well you would probaly be closer to 100fwhp with just a 50 shot. Good luck let us know how it goes :smash:

He may be "at the edge" but theres another forum member running a magnuson w/ 100 shot on a motor with 130,000 miles. Do a search his last run was something like 10.5
Re: Supercharger and Nitrous Combination: Comments Needed (Inelpaso)
What would happen if you sprayed the nitrous directly onto the intercooler vs into the AF mixture? Wouldn't the result be much colder air going through the SC? Resulting in more HP. Does it sound logical?

Spraying any juice on a stock bottom end with a Procharger is a time bomb just waiting to go off. The stock pistns can not handle that kind of cylinder pressure.. :seeya

You may be able to join the 10 sec club, but possibblie at a cost, but then again there are guys doing it; however, they are doing it a little differently. Someone said at 6psi it is 16 to 1 comp ratio, what if you run 4/5psi with 100 shot. Would comp. be in more of a reasonable ratio? Have fun trying though, you have ***** if you do it.
