I was at Milan dragway yesterday watching the test and tune session when I noticed a C5 coupe make a pass then hit the brakes and light up the board with a 11.7 @ 109 mph, I was very impressed with this ET especially with the guy on the brakes, so I go over and talk to the guy, turns out he has heads/cam and a 100 shot of nitrous running on BFG drag radials with a 3.42 and he tells me that he is hitting the brakes so he won't get tossed off the track, then he proceeded to show me a 10.70 @ 129 mph timeslip.
Nitrous and C5's is a match made in heaven.
Hey Devil Dog. I was thinking about going myself. But am driving a Vert. Been told and have read that I need a roll bar or cage. Don't want to put my baby through that kind of surgery just run a few times down the track. Maybe I will just come down and watch. What days, times and how much.
Whazzup,
Test and tune sessions are held on wed. and fri. nights, if you just want to observe its 10 bucks, check out their website for more info. www.milandragway.com
That guy had a 150 shot and his last run was a 11.6 without hitting the brakes. That car is stupid fast. I had some long conversations with him and he will be coming out on the 25th of Sept to run with everyone. It will be cool to have a car running that much juice come out. It is going to be a unbeliveable night when all of these sick cars converge in one place and lay down some rubber.
I think we should name the 25th the "Corvette Fourm Motor City Meltdown"
P.S. Seeing that NO2 car has given me a few ideas, How do you think Twin Turbo's and nitrous would compliment each other.

thanks.
I run a vert there all the time low 12's high 11's they make me wear a helmet but haven't been booted yet for going to fast. The rules are a little laxed on test and tune days.
I wish I could get the local guy with the nitroused C5 to come to the track, but he is a serious money street racer and does not want his ET broadcast, but I can tell you he definitely has the fastest C5 around these parts and it is also a vert.
The facts speak for themselves, nitrous is definitely the way to go with a C5.
Stock C5 w/nitrous=low 12-11 second car.
head/cam C5 w/nitrous=10 second car
stroker C5 w/nitrous=9 second car.
How much horsepower you guys getting to the rear wheels with te 150 shot. I got the NX express kit 150 and only got 100 rwhp increase and 146rwtq increase, sound about right? Used 62 n20 and 33 fuel jets with 6 degree retard on a 03'z06
I was talking to a tuner yesterday about adding a small dry shot (50-75) with my Magnuson. I was going to do a cam and heads, but I think I'm going to go with nitrous instead. I'm not a kid anymore, so I figure I won't use it that often. Not only will it give me a little more horsepower, but it will also help to cool my intake temperature. To be honest, I'm a little concerned about getting by emissions here in IL with the cam and heads. I'
