Crank pulley damper shift?

Newer procharger kit comes w/ a pinning kit. Might want to call procharger, they'll probably send you the pinning kit w/ just shipping charge.
I ended up purchasing the more expensive $500 Super Damper that goes with the above kit also & still have the new stocker with machined keyways.

I thought it pinned the outer section of the pulley to the inner section to prevent movement at the rubber joint.
1) True Keyways cut into the damper and a key cut into the crank.
2) Vertical pins, like the kit shown above, which requires squared keyways in the damper.
3) Horizontal pins, which drill into both the crank shaft and the damper at the same time horizontally.
#1 is the best but requires engine disassembly and machine work on the crank.
#2 is the 2nd best as the vertical pins go deeper into the crank than the horizontal drill and the veritical keyway in the damper has a square surface for better, deeper grip.
#3 is better than nothing (stock). It's the easiest and is what certain SC kits might include. Don't confuse ATI Performance (Damper) company with ATI Supercharger company (Accessible Technology).
P.S. I opted for #2.
P.S.S. I have a stock damper keywayed and available per Technique #2.
