Default nitrous with competitive handeling on

I RUN A 98 C5 AUTO WITH A CAT BACK,INTAKE,HYPERTECH WITH NO IGNITION MODS,160 STAT AND A 100 SHOT(NITROUSEXPRESS).I AM RUNNING 12.30 ON F1-DS3 TIRES.I RUN THE NOS FROM 2200 RPM AND UP AND I DONT LET OFF THE BUTTON WHEN IT SHIFTS.WELL WHEN IT SHIFTS THE TIRES BREAK LOOSE AND THE CAR GOSE SIDEWAYS BUT IT IS CONTRALABLE.I WANT TO RUN A 150 JET BUT I AM SCARED IT WILL LOOP WHEN IT SHIFTS IN TO 2ND GEAR.MY QUESTION IS CAN I RUN THE COMPETITIVE HANDELING WHEN I SPRAY NOS OR DOES IT STILL CUT SPARK WHEN IT IS THAT MODE TO KEEP THE CAR STRAIGHT OR SHOULD I NOT SPRAY WHEN IT SHIFTS?.BY THE WAY WHAT ARE YOUR GUYS TIMES WITH 100 SHOT AND 150 SHOTS? :auto:

I only run in COMP mode. I want the active handling ON. That does not cut fuel... traction control does (which, of course, is a bad thing).

However, I do not ever hit my nitrous in 1st gear and usually only at the top of 2nd and then up from there...so I may not have the traction problems you have. I run stock tires and using it in 1st or just after shifting into 2nd is absolutely useless for me. :)

you should get a progressive controller. This will allow you to spray off the line and increase the shot as you go through the RPM's

Or, just get a tire that hooks.

You're right. It would be much more efficient that way. However, the car is on the cusp of busting the tires loose in 1st gear anyway. Any nitrous at all would just cause them to spin hard. Plus, pulsing the 'noids = vastly reduced lifespan for them, IMHO, so I have not messed with a progressive controller.

I have also heard that the progressive controllers are hard on the noids. Has anyone had any experience with them?
I love the concept and would get one if they are safe on the noids.

Is it on a switch or time delay? How do you only kick it in on the top of 2nd?
