Outstanding - that is much better than we'd been led to believe.

Do you have any idea when Mag will be releasing some dyno charts or other power specifics?

Cheers!

I'm also ready to buy a polished unit. I would also like to discuss a heads and cam package that will compliment the s/c.

Thanks for the info. How much of a difference is this price versus the previous price of the non-intercooled kit?

I know that Magnuson has been doing some dyno testing but we haven't received any sheets for the completed kit yet. The price for this one is less than they figured. It's only about $800.-$900. over the non-intercooled version. The retrofit will be more though.

BigLew/danshill: I'm out of the office today (vacation, what's a vacation? :) ) but you can e-mail or call the office for pricing. They have those numbers now and should be able to take care of the rest of your questions. If not I'll help you up out on Monday.

I think it's safe to say the retrofit will be priced as follows -

01-10-58-031 '97-04 C5 Corvette Silver - $1850.
01-10-58-032 '97-04 C5 Corvette Polished - $2075.
01-10-58-033 Z06 Corvette Silver - $1870.
01-10-58-034 Z06 Corvette Polished - $2095.

Magnuson would like to have this done by a mechanic/installer. They don't want customers that might not have much mechanical experence to get into the install and possilbiy run into a problem. They just want to insure that everything is done correct.

Does that mean that Magnuson will send you the package and you will be able to install? If so let's use my car to get some pre and post intercooler numbers, as well as testing the exact results of each smaller pulley in terms of hp, tq, IAT's, blower RPM's. We can even go nuts and get down to a 2.5 pulley  I've got alternate transportation for the winter and can spare the car for some time.

talked to the guys from Magnacharger here at SEMA and they quoted $1750 for POLISHED and if I remember correctly it was $1575 for satin. These price includes shipping both ways. After you order upgrade they send you container to ship yours to them, they upgrade and return.

Sounds like different numbers than what the guys at their office gave us.

Just found some info that was sent to me from the office on Friday. We were told that the $1575./$1750. prices are inaccurate and they definitely don't included shipping. He was kind of surprized someone at SEMA would say that. I'll be able to clear up the pricing on Monday. The pricing I posted a few days ago should be very close if not on the money -

01-10-58-031 '97-04 C5 Corvette Silver - $1850.
01-10-58-032 '97-04 C5 Corvette Polished - $2075.
01-10-58-033 Z06 Corvette Silver - $1870.
01-10-58-034 Z06 Corvette Polished - $2095.

Tried you on Fri and woman at the office said you're out until Mon. I'll call you then to talk about testing some smaller pulleys, etc.

On you pricing, and I understand it's not firm, but I have a satin blower now and if I buy the 97-04 C5 polished retrofit I'll get a polished unit back...help me out on this one...THX!

Magnuson is working on the final details for the retrofit process. My info from this morning says that the upgrade might just be available directly through them (not through the dealers). This isn't etched in stone but it looks like it might be easier for them to do it this way. Our rep said they should be able to upgrade a current satin kit to polished. You would have to go directly through Magnuson for this.

Definate details will be available in about 10 days.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Just posted some of this info in a different thread -

The upgrade will be available directly from Magnuson (no discount for dealers on this product). They can be reached at 1-805-642-8833. This should be ready right around the 1st of the year. The pricing above is correct - $1575. if you have a satin kit and $1750. if you have polished.

The complete intercooled supercharger system should also be ready to ship in a few weeks. We have a few slots left for our introductory pricing. Just e-mail (tbyrne@tbyrne.com) or call for pricing.

Tom,
I plan to order the retro upgrade this Jan or Feb from you. can you
possibly answer a few questions? Made a few call to there 800 a few months ago but figured you might have information already on weather this
will be a direct upgrade to the system i have now or will it require a core charge for a new unit? Can i install this myself .....and if so will i need to re-program the computer?

thanks in advance.

Is this system going to be CARB certified? I know the non intercooled system was not.

Chris: Magnuson isn't offering any discounts to dealers for the upgrade so this will be available directly from them. I haven't gone through the final details about the upgrade yet but I believe you would send your blower and programmer in and they would send the intercooled version and a new program to you. You could do this yourself but Magnuson recommends having a certified installed take care of the swap.

Not sure if this will have any CARB numbers yet.

How much boost, what kind of increases, will the IC help it pump enough to a stroker to make it worth while-

I understand the I/C version is supposed to make 7 psi, maybe enough to supply a 402 CI but that would probably be it.
