I'm installing nitrous and I'm using a micro switch at the gas pedal to control the on-off for the nitrous and I was wondering if I turned I turned on the nitrous and floored it with traction control on would it hurt anything? I know the computer try to control the vehicle when it looses traction by throttle shutdown and timing control. With nitrous spraying and traction control trying to kick in would that damage the engine? Is there some thing I can do to have the traction control off all the time without having to turn it off everytime I fire her up? Thanks for the help in advance.
Don't know about the nitrous / traction control issue, but Mid America sells a device that allows you to set the mode of the car all the time... http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=1.532
Dont spray the juice when the traction control is on. I dont have that item that is posted above this that keeps the traction control off all the time, By now I am just used to turning it off right after I start the car and pull the wheel down. That device sounds cool though, you ought to give that a shot.
Re: traction control with N2O, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM !
Are you serious ? Leaving AH on when spraying it. What do you think will happen when the AH program pulls timing out or cuts back on fuel ?
It just my opinion but I use a push button switch on a coiled cord. I hit it just enough to either drill the guy or catch him. Let's me control the flow of $$$ a little better. The switch on the pedal sounds like a potential problem like dust bunnies or other foot related trash or even the carpet bunching up a causing the switch to fail. I forgot to say that I use the LapTraxx box that disables AH on startup,(you can choose comp mode or all off).

i wouldnt try to spray with traction control on its really not a big deal to just push the button & turn it off traction control before u spray .I spray a 100 shot @ the track & i always when doing a burnout turn off traction control & then arm the system i also use a msd window switch that will allow the nitrous to be turned on @ lower rpm pill u use & will deactivate the system @ a higher rpm pill btw i would try to invest in some nitto 555 extreme zr drag radials that will help the spin of the tires
