I already have a Stage II Cartek H/C setup pushing 412rwhp on a non-forged motor. Looking for opinion on whether to go with the ATI or the New IC Magnunson for the best torque and hp for the buck. Long term drivability is not really an issue as I only drive it less than 1k miles per year and am just looking to hold me over until the C6 bugs are ironed out for purchase.
BTW, looking at getting Cartek or ECS to do the install. Opinions on that are appreciated as well.
well youll probably need to change your heads/cam or forge the motor because the compression will probably be to high for either blower. probably will be a couple weeks before we all find out what the intercooled mag can do :yesnod: i have no experience with cartek but i have taken my car to ECS for everything i have done so far and chris is a great guy, he'll treat your car like it is his own. i will be going to them when i have the money to install the ati on my car :chevy
Was your head/cam package done with a supercharger in mind? That will determine if you will need to lower the compression. It's better to be close to the stock compression if not a little lower with a supercharger. The new intercolled Magnuson will be a great kit. It will provide boost from just off idle to redline. If you go with this one I would order a smaller pulley to regain some of the boost that will be lost with the head/cam package (depending on the compression). The ATI will also be a good choice that will provide great power through mid to upper RPMs. The pulley size for this one can be set up by ATI based on your mods.
The Intercooled Magnuson superchargers with programming should start shipping this week. A few customers have order them without programming so those can go out pretty quick.
