Here's a link to a guy that's like a GOD amoung some of those that use this type of setup. Once I get my D1-SC installed and tuned, my next power upgrade will probably be this sort of thing.
Check it out. There's a TON of info on GN forums and even LS1 tech has gotten into this. A few Supra guys have run it too with great results. One guy was commenting that the engine looked "steam cleaned" after he took it apart for an upgrade/maintenance.
Rob Raymer is running/selling an alky kit that he's using on his Formula. It appears to be putting out some amazing results and he says that it helps a whole bunch with knock retard. He's putting out around 700 rwhp on a 120,000 mile STOCK (not stock cube, but STOCK with the valve springs changed). That's VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!
It seems like there are two discussions going on. One is about spraying into the intake tract and the other is about spraying the exterior of the intercooler. If you're going to spray the exterior of the IC then no engine tuning should be needed. Many guys here in Texas put a spraybar on their IC and run a mix of distilled water and alcohol. The only ones that have trouble with their systems are those that just run with tap water. Trashes up the IC and radiator pretty quick
Spraying Co2 will also change your tune b/c your dropping the air temp 50-70 degrees ,,(ask your tuner .
Ive heard dyno queens cry b/c their car does one thing on the dyno at 75 degrees and then chokes when they get the car out into 95 degree florida heat and 90% humitity .
