Nitrous Question
Was looking into nitrous for my '99 A4. Thinking about a 100 shot wet system but was wondering if it would matter if my vette still had the stock 2.73 gears. Would I see significant gains? The only other mods I have are the RM twin filters, ZO6 screens with cutouts, and Borla stingers.

Re: Nitrous Question (MC TORCH RED)
gears have no effect on horsepower only torque. Do a 100 shot and you will be wanting to put on a 150 ;)

Re: Nitrous Question (1BAD C5)
Hey Richard, same guy, the tires and wheels looked great but since I took a spin in yours, it looks like the wheel money may go for nitrous!

Re: Nitrous Question (Hawkdriver)
100hp shot is 100hp with any gear. The increase in torque you get with nitrous will move that car with any gear. You will love it. Ease into hp levels any higher, (ex 150) you will need everything working right when you get that much juice flowing. HANG ON!!!

Re: Nitrous Question (Hawkdriver)
Just make sure you dont hit the N2o till your at at least 3000 rpm with that high of a gear .
If you hit a 100 shot out of the hole it will put a major (torque) strain on the drive train .
You can use an MSD rpm switch that turns the n2o on at 3k to take the guess work out of things .
