I can't keep my single fan working. It is wired just like the manual, however; I had both fan fuses blow. I disconnected it and hooked it up to 12V and it seemed to operate fine. Replaced the fuses and it worked a little while. Then I'm sitting in traffic and smell a horrific burning smell. Pop the hood and sure enough the fan is not running again. This time the fuses are fine, just no fan. Has anyone had any experience with fan failure or wiring problems when hooked up as directed?
Correction, my fuses are blown again. Both 30 amp maxi fuses.

Re: Single fan problems on ATI (Legacy)
I have not heard of this particular problem, but I suggest two courses of action. First you could call ATI direct and see what they have to say. However, my preferred route would be to call Andy at A&A or Chris at ECS and go with their kit to lay down the radiator so you can go back to the stock fans. Of course, this depends on your finances.
Is laying down the radiator enough to keep an ati P-1SC stk block setup cool with some occaisional high speed auto-x, I also have 2 ten inch fans in front of the condenser, 172 stat, stk radiator. My tuner is reccomending laying down the radiator and going to dual fans without changing the radiator on a 95 % street car.
laying down the rad and switching back to the stock fans will take the car back to the way it was (cooling wise) before the S/C... :yesnod: You will not have any cooling problems once you do it. :nono:
