Congrats  :jester

Just got mine back in Jan from a SC, headers and x-pipe install. Know just what you mean about the tire man getting to know you well. Thinking about buying some extra 335s to set in the basement while the price is good.

Please do not take this as a slam, cause I sure do not mean it that way but...

I would have thought a "Z" would have gotten a little more out of the SC than 475rwhp and 423rwtq. Not that those are not nice numbers to feel under your foot, but as you can see from my sig, my coupe produced those kind numbers with only 7psi, at 6000ft altitude and my tune is not pushing any limits.

Any thoughts anyone???

It seems like there might be another 20rwhp in there somewhere. Keep in mind that the Z06 has to run less boost to be safe because of increased CR. So he might have an ultra-conservative tune running less boost which explains the numbers.

diynoob,

You are right on with the CR and lower boost idea. I forgot the "Z" has a higher CR and he probably is not running 7psi.

Thanks for the reminder,
Lonnie :D

i to went with an ultra-conservative with only about 5lb boost, it's just something to play with and enjoy not necessarily the most or the fastest.
i do drive the car a lot so i just wanted to be on the safe side.
And after driving it yesterday i'm not sure i could slide around anymore then it does now :D :D

my01z06,

I'm sitting here with this s$it eating smile on my face reading this thread. Driving and even thinking about our SC'd Vettes just makes me want to smile. I too wanted something that was a little less than the most I could get cause I drive it 15000 miles a year and want some reliability. Just wish those rear tires would last as long as they should... :steering: :D :steering:
I have gotten use to the power somewhat now, and I love driving this beast in competitive mode so I can play some with the rear tires without the traction control kicking in and the active handling gives a little more in competitive mode.

Got to love being blown...Hope the wife doesn't read this... :bb

Enjoy, be safe, and try to not smile ALL the time...

The problem is dynojets don't correct blower cars properly at altitude, so you likely make only 440-450rwhp corrected at sea level.

I don't follow that unless the dynojet over corrects for altitiude. If a SC makes 7 lb boost at sea level it may make slightly less than 7 lbs at 6000ft but the dyno should be the same. The over all pressure would be less compared to sea level and the improvement as a % in Hp should be slightly greater at altitude. Atmospheric pressure 12 + 6psi boost vs 14.7psi + 7psi boost at sea level??
