Pinning the Crank

OK I'm kind of new to this, I have read some posts on people pinning their crank when installing a supercharger. What does that mean? :eek: :eek:

you drill a hole in the crank and install a pin between the a hole in the balancer and a hole in the crank.

No problem. If you go to http://www.ls6.net/mods/Vortech/ there are more pics. You can see how I tied the steering rack up out of the way so I could drill the oil pan and crank pinning.
