Default changing pulley

I'm changing the pulley on my ATI P1 this weekend,do I need a puller to remove the pulley;does the head unit need removed; bolt on the front of the pulley does it come off with wrenches or do I have to use the impact wrench? Thanks

You should definately remove the blower from the brackets, there isn't alot of room to work there. Remove it and change the supercharger oil at the same time. You won't need a puller since the pulley is keyed and is a slip fit, and the impeller stud is notched for a allen wrench to hold the impeller while wrenching the pulley nut. You could probably use an impact on it also. Good luck!

I used an impact gun to make it easier.

One technique that works is to loosen the bolt with a long closed end wrench and smack the wrench with a short 2x4 before you loosen the belt. You will have to remove or loosen the blower to get the pulley out though.
