Finally installed the NX system on baby. Thought some might want to see yet another set of install pics. This is the same system I had on my silver '97. I cleaned up the underhood install quite a bit taking info and pics I've got from here on the forum. All that is left is a timing retard device. Info on the system:
100 shot wet, remote bottle opener, heater, purge, dual Autometer gauge setup. I'm using an Autometer air/fuel ratio gauge to help as an indicator to solenoid failure (God forbid).
I'm in the market for a temporary NX system (until my wife lets me lay the $10K for a blower in 6 months) and was wondering if you took pics as you progressed with the install. I'm not much of a wrench kinda guy, and Andy at A&A said he doesn't usually do NoS....but that he would as I'm local.
So if I can save the bucks and have my mechanic do it pics/instructions sure would come in handy
Holly AKA (NOS) just came out with a new direct port system made just for the LS1 I get it put in on monday, Bottle Blown Racing in Camarillo does the installs and Dyno's it, he did My existing Dry kit and it came out great if you are interested call him 805-484-3207.
Very nice! I'm curious exactly how you mounted the nozzle to the coupler. Is there any bracing behind it or did you just drill a hole in the silicone and mount it there? I'm having issues where mine is mounted (in the IAT bung) and this seems like a good place. TIA.

Thanks! Just used a large stainless washer on the back along with Locktite. Seems to work just fine.
Thanks JoeyG. No noticable difference in operating temp with the cool-flex radiator hose. Some argue that theoritically it should operate cooler because of the copper being an excellent conductor of heat but the other side argues the ribbed design would disrupt coolant flow thus would run hotter but like I said, I haven't noticed in difference but then again, I haven't ran it much yet like on long roadtrips on the highway.
shouldn't that bottle heater be wrapped along the bottom of the bottle or does it go all the way around?
All you are wanting to do is increase the overall bottle pressure. Its not important that you have it along the bottom to do that as the heater will warm up the gas pressure as long as it is in conact anywhere on the bottle. The heater only wraps around the top half section.
