Just installed Andy's Procharger set up. C5 4L60E is slipping at certain power ranges. Any advice as to can I rebuild existing 4L60E or do I need a new "hardned" one built. If I need new any suggestions as to who and how much. I have 433 rwhp with 450 r torque.
Not that I'm the dullest tool in the shed but......what is an FLP-level 4?? Is that a kit I can add to existing tranny or a whole new transmission...also where can I get it. Like the converter idea too.

The FLP trans is IMO the best A4 out there for high power C5's. It is not a kit but a whole new built trans. Look on the left side bar and you will see Finish Line Performance's banner click on it and give them a call, ask for Mitch or Chuck they will hook you up, they are great to deal with and stand behind their product. They will also spec a T.C for your application.
Good luck and tell the guys over there Vetzilla says hi.

Actually my FLP L5 shifts smoother than stock. Partially because of a vacuum mod where vacuum triggers a softer shift. You have to add a vacuum line to the transmission.
Rebuid it with the FLP they are a solid company, though sometimes backlogged. Raptor trannys and others are out there. The TC needs to be built for the application too, my SY3500 is slipping above 440Hp/400tq/5400rpm. So I am going to go with a different unit.
Yeah, I can't say enough about FLP, I would of gladly paid the extra $700.00 for the level V if it was available at the time. Not that my Level IV won't easily handle what I can throw at it but I'm sure with my addiction to power I will someday need to step up again.
does the trans shift harder to where it is uncomfortable for daily driving?
No you will be just fine, if you feel it is to firm you can adjust the line pressure with predator and or other programing.
Our Level 4 and Level 5 transmissions are vacuum modulated and the line pressure is no longer controlled via the pcm. By no means is our transmission uncomfortable for daily driving. Feel free to check out the transmission section of our web page.
