I am considering putting a wet NX kit in my 2004 Z06. How much trouble would it be to remove the system (or most of it) so the dealer would not know it was installed.
well if you remove the fogger and replace the stock coupler, remove the bottle, lines, and solenoids, and all wiring... they can still test the top of the piston for sulfer. This is null if you are using medical grade nitrous.
I was thinking of hiding the wires and nitrous lines, then use disconnects to remove the visible evidence, leaving most of the lines and wires intact. Do you see any flaws with this idea?
I don't expect to have any trouble, but I don't want to raise any eyebrows when I get my oil changed.
Also the only sure way, is to remove everything, never leave any part of it in the car
OK. I have no experience installing a nitrous system, but I don't think I'll have any problems. I would probably leave most of the electrical connections intact, and remove the damning evidence (solenoids, bottle, hoses, etc. ).
Once the initial install is completed, how long would it take to remove the system. Would it be 1 hour or more like 5 hours?
The time and effort it would take to do that each time, it would just be easier to change the oil yourself

Take 30 minutes to change the oil and never have the dealer touch the car. Changining the oil is far easier than pulling a nitrous syetem off, regardless of how mnay quick-disconnects there are.
