Default two stage direct port

has anyone put together a system like this?
i'm planning on a separate fuel system for the spray only with a low pressure pump, regulator, etc..
i want to run 200 hp on the n2o total, but dont think that it would be very beneficial if it hit all at once, so thought i would stage like 125 and 75 or something like that.
nx's website shows the sx2 direct port system but only for carburated fuel systems.
this system is exactly what i'm looking to do, but was wondering if anyone knows why it could not be used on an efi fuel system.
thanks

If you want to go with a direct port 2 stage, you can go two ways.

1. is to get 8x dual stage nozzles, and have a plumbing nightmare
2. get a progressive controller, and just do a big single shot but have it come on slowly.

We are currently doing a low psi system on a EFI car but it is a single stage system. We are planning on using a NOS progressive controller on it because a large shot on the starting line will cause tire shake sometimes. The system can be converted to a dual stage with new nozzles and all of the necessary soleniods. This is a VERY costly nitrous system due to time consuming plumbing and attention to ALL DETAILS!

hey nick
thanks for all your previous help
i'm still just brainstorming and trying to figure out what i want to do
want it to be easy to use, capable of putting usable power to the ground, and unique/impressive under the hood
what
can you explain how the progressive controller works?

Progressive controller works by pulsing the solenoids at a desired rate to only allow a calculated rate (amount) of nitrous through the jet at a specific time.

so this would allow you to use, say, a 100 hp n2o and fuel jetting, but the progressive controller would "feather" in the spray?
if that's how it works, it sounds really interesting, but im wondering how well it performs. wouldnt you get drips off of the jets from the "pulsing?"

nitrous comes out the jet at 1200 psi, there will be no dripping. Progressive controllers are harder on the solenoids since it pulses; requiring a rebuild sooner.

No need for a 2 stage direct port unless you were planning on spraying lots of nitrous (like 600+) Check out my link here for the first stealth system we are offering:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=799684

You can leave the FRC off if you want people to be able to see the master piece

Also, there are several things that can be done in your case:
#1 A progressive controller would be a good option. You could jet the fogger for a 200 shot and ramp the nitrous in several ways. Time, RPM, Gear, etc. Basically what it will do is allow a set amount of nitrous to come out, and "progressively" get larger as you tell it. For instance, 40% @ 3000RPM upto 100% at 6800RPM (meaning 80 @ 3000 and upto 200 @ 6800). How fast it "progresses" would be set by you...either 10% every increment of time, or every so many RPM, etc!

#2 Would be to jet the fogger for a 125, and run a dry shot (or wet). A dry in this case would be beneficial and you would want to use it first, as it would pull extra timing in the before the next stage hit. In this case, it would add to the security of the system!

The one pictured is actually going on my car.....should be done this weekend Just haven't had the time. The fuel system is done, and I did do it in low pressure...most pill sizes available are for low pressure fogger systems.

However you can run a high pressure directport/ fogger if you wish...it is the pill sizes you need (which we have)

Over here we have accomplished alot with the giggly juice, and have tried just about anything you can think of.

Including 3 stages of nitrous, foggers, propane setups, etc.....all on the C5 and the LSx family.

If you need any help, let us know

I figured you would also be interested to see the first one of these. If you notice this is a GM intake that we tuned with the stock computer using speed density. Almost like Gen 6 DFI built in It is not necessary to do this, but I figure any body that likes nitrous would appreciate this setup.

It is a high pressure EFI system, and it is in a Camaro f-body If I am not mistaken we were the first 346CI in the 5's (eighth mile) with this setup.

Very few of these intakes hanging around. We were one of the first with it
