I've been sitting on my hands/butt for months with my D1-SC sitting in the garage just MOCKING me (I'm serious, I could hear laughter). I purchased this setup from Andy with every good intention to perform the install myself, but work and family obligations...... Or my habitual procrastination have all conspired to keep me from doing the install. UNTIL NOW.......
In walks Chris @ ECS!! I have an appointment to drop the car off to him the weekend of June 4th and if all goes well, by the following weekend the car will be complete (for now) and I'll be shopping for some new DR's to handle my newfound traction problems!!!
Hey Chris, if you're reading this, do you guys perform a dyno before the s/c install? Just curious to know what my car was putting down currently. Can't wait to meet ya & see the shop I've read so much about!!
You will not be disappointed...good for you..perfect weather coming up for driving...at least when the pavement is hotter you get a little more hook..but not much more.
I wish I could be there to see the look on your face when you mash the right pedal for the first time
While they have it there have em do the axle change also, you'll really love it then

Thanks to all! Lemme just say this was a HUGE decision for me. I have worked on ALL my own vehicles for many years, but ECS's reputation is so good I felt comfortable enough to chose them and besides....... The blower wasn't about to just get outta the box and install itself!!!
Hey Busa I see you're running 2.73's, any plans to change them out now that you're blown? I know you were pleased with the car shortly after the install, has the passage of time changed your opinions any? Just curious.
You will not be disappointed!! While you are there have Chris/Doug or Mark show you my Green C5 - Forged, Stroked(382), Blown, Gassed. All custom work - especially the nitrous set up. The 9 point cage is going in and they have put in an F1-SC to replace my D1-SC along with Kooks replacing my TPIS headers and an a beefed up auto tranny to replace my M6. All beautiful work with lots of extra goodies they can show you. But beware - you will want more!!
I like your thinking about the 3.42's. Would you simply install them into the existing 2.73 carrier? Do you think I should change out the t/c also? What about stepping up to 3.73's?
UGH, see one thing just starts to run into the next. Thanks for indulging me with the "before" dyno pull. BTW, I currently have the Predator program installed on the car, should I remove it before coming down?
Looking forward to seeing you on 06/05/04, what time in the morning are you folks normally in? I'd like to hit the road early out of CT.
