Default Nos 5177 kit or???

I want a NOS 5177 kit because I here there the safest kit. Or should I go wet kit with NX System? I am completly stock 98 with 53,000 miles.

I have the NOS system and had to buy quite a few things to make it safe for my own well being. (ie window switch, electronic throttle switch, heater, purge, and new injectors because the kit is meant for f-bodies) I believe your injectors should be fine. The kit is approved for 28.5 lb injectors. I also had the shop doing my install purchase the dry to wet adapter kit by NX just incase I want a little more power later on.

If you want a dry setup that might be easier to install go with the NX because some companies sell packages for the car and it is easier to tune. The NX has up to 150 hp jets were as the NOS has 125hp jets max.

You can get more hp with the wet kit though.
