$$$ per RWHP???

We FI guys,
Estimate your current RWHP (if you don't know it, guess). then subtract the stock rating (RWHP) to get your added hp.
Then estimate all costs, (not suspension/bling) parts, labor (use $75/hr for your labor), include things you tried that you were not satisfied with that you replaced, i.e. I'm on my 3rd cam, 3rd blower, 2nd shortblock, etc., and divide the total cost by the added hp.
Be honest
I'm currently at about $211/hp!

Kinda makes me think how important it is to do it right the 1st time! :bb
But the help I'm getting from my new tuner, Andy, will gradually average this down. Us exMMS customers will be at the top of the cost pyramid!

EDIT: 18 mpg to boot
Pretty cost effective when you consider what you get for the LSX FAST intake or VARARAM or other silly add-ons.
Lovin every minute of it.

No cheating now. Be honest and add the cost of the tigershark nose.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
But I have no labor, since I have done all the work myself. If I added in 75$/hr for all my time working on it and researching solutions, I would probably be at about $1000/hp

Do you have to add in the cost of body damage caused by having too much power
That would also jack my numbers up.
Future mod estimate looks like $94. TTi, A4 FLP level V, Convertor, forged motor, heads, intake, exhaust, wheel & tire, gauges... Just a quick guess.
Cost avoided & Benifits: Retain good gas milage, no header purchase, no refill of bottle (NOS), 100% daliy driven streetable, tolerable noise level, limited vibration... ect...

About the same price as my new 600sl on order.+
Less expensive than the 575M Ferrari.
Does not even compare to the offshore boat. We don't even read the bill. It's just wrong.
Stupid male bad habits.

Keep em coming, it's a good thing to think about-kinda like going to a free shrink for our sickness.
And soon we will have a good sense of the actual cost of what we are doing-which obviously most of us do not want to address-I know I don't!
So far I'm the WINNER at over $200/hp!
Wow, at being a loser, I'm the winner! What a distinction! Well at least I do something good!!!
Thanks,
Roy

Roy
Of course some of us are just getting started and have not had to replace broke parts yet

Good point on not having to fix much yet though...
