i am looking for twins in near future and i have 03. goal is close to 700 rwhp does anyone have a set up to mod stock fuel system w/out ripping it out totally and repacing w/97 system.
thanks
nick
We have a system we have been using for years many over 700rwhp like Eatrice, we have a CNC aluminum adapter so you can use your stock rails and plum it into an external regulator.
A complete '97 style system is definitely not $100. I think the price of just the return line itself is about $100 -- that doesn't include the new rails, regulator, filter, and additional plumbing.
I paid about $700ish for my parts, but it's a nice looking setup that included a boost referenced regulator as well as billet rails and a few other goodies. The vanilla parts will run you about $500ish depending on where you go with it.
Fred Beans is currently offering parts to forum members at dealer costs (until end of january) - you can get all the parts needed to upgrade a 99-early03 fuel system to tht 97-98 for around $300.
At 625rwhp+ the only way to do it right IMHO is Dual Pumps.
I respectfully disagree, it is "a way" not the only way. Optic has many cars (even 2004 cars) making more hp than that without dual pumps. Not only is he making the power on the dyno, he is backing it up at the track. I don't know how much hotter or more humid it is in Georgia than Florida, but his stuff seems to be working. For this reason I have ordered my fuel parts from him today, to put on my TT kit. We will see how it works.

I couldn't get any single pump setup to work reliably until I switched to duals. I always saw a pressure drop. I'm not sure how close to the edge or how many band aids these single pump cars have.
It's funny how C5's avoid dual pumps where F-Bodies all run them. TT's aren't as bad as SC's for fuel, depending on your power it may be easier on your fuel system.

I understand what your saying, I am not saying that the dual pumps are bad, they are good. There is just more involved. I am trying to keep things as simple as possible.
