Stock clutch with nitrous problem?
I am running a 75 shot wet nitrous in my 2000 m6 hardtop. I took it to the track last week and the clutch just gave out on me. First gear was fine, but as soon as i shifted to second, the motor continued to redline. I tried third and the same thing happened. I pulled off the track and the pedel was very soft. I let it cool adn drove it for a bit and now it seems fine. Do I have too much horsepower for that clutch or did i just do something wrong. I have been told i "Glazer" the clutch and it will return to normal with use. Thanks for any info.

Thats sounds like something I did once. I was stock at the time, and I went to do a burnout, but it just redlined and the car didn't go anywhere. It just road the clutch, then I could smell it afterwards. It felt soft like you described, but after a while, it was fine, and I never had the problem again. I don't know what it was though, felt like the clutch just never caught fully, like it got caught halfway.

Thanks alot! That sounds just like my problem. My clutch grabbed like half way so i could still pick up speed but not before it redlined almost immediatly. My pedel is almost back to normal now but still feels like it has a hair less tension than before. Thanks.

Thats exactly what mine felt like. For a while after, it never felt the same as far as tension. It always felt a little softer. Maybe one of the experts can chime in and tell us how much time we took off the life of our stock clutches!
